About us
The Eye Warehouse was established in Great Yarmouth in June 2006 by Dispensing Optician Tom Paine F.B.D.O. As of 20th November 2008 Tom bought out the other shareholders and as part of the takeover agreement the name was required to be changed. This was done at the same time and the business is now known as Just Specs Ltd.
Just Specs is owned and operated by Tom Paine and is a traditional family business with Tom's wife (Kim) and Kim's daughter (Jo) both working there.
Tom qualified in 1976 and is a qualified FBDO (Association of British Dispensing Optician).
Managerially, Tom has held positions with Clement Clarke Ltd (now Boots), Vision Express, OPSM and other independent companies in the UK, Australia and Zimbabwe. His own businesses have included a Specsavers franchise for some years and now The Eye Warehouse/ Just Specs.
